The Competition Authority imposed a record fine on the white meat giant Banvit. As a result of the investigation examining whether Article 4 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition was violated, Banvit was fined 947,305,871.90 TL. The company announced this development through a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform.

Banvit announced that, as a result of the investigation by the Competition Authority regarding the violation of Article 4 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition, an administrative fine of 947,305,871.90 TL was imposed on the company.

"DETAILS REGARDING THE REASONS FOR THE PENALTY HAVE NOT REACHED OUR COMPANY"

In a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the company noted that the reasoned decision for the penalty has not yet been communicated to them. Banvit stated that after the notification of the reasoned decision, they will evaluate benefiting from the 25% early payment discount within the legal period.

The statement also emphasized that developments related to the issue will be shared with the public when necessary, in accordance with the Capital Markets Legislation.
