The claims that resurfaced on social media following the Epstein files also brought up the death of Barış Akarsu in 2007. In response to the "assassination" narratives, Akarsu's cousin stated, "Please honor his memory and legacy correctly. Love."
With the resurgence of the Epstein files, many old claims and conspiracy theories have circulated again on social media. Among these posts were claims regarding the artist Barış Akarsu, who lost his life in a traffic accident in 2007. Some users on social media suggested that the accident could be a "murder" based on the fact that Akarsu passed away shortly after the release of his song "Who Is He?". As the claims spread quickly, a statement came from the artist's family.
A STATEMENT FROM HIS COUSIN
In a statement made by Barış Akarsu's cousin, the claims in question were firmly rejected. The statement emphasized that Akarsu's death occurred as a result of an unfortunate traffic accident, and it reacted to the issue being interpreted in different ways.
"BEING PULLED IN OTHER DIRECTIONS FOR VIEWS"
The statement included the following remarks: "Your love and interest in my late brother are very precious. However, please do not allow this accident that happened about 19 years ago to be pulled in different directions for the sake of views. My brother unfortunately lost his life as a result of an unfortunate traffic accident. This has nothing to do with the song 'Who Is He?' or any other event. I ask for his memory to be honored properly."
THEY ASKED FOR RESPECT
The family called for Barış Akarsu's name not to be brought up with speculative claims and requested respect for the artist's memory.
Here are the lyrics of that song;
He knows everything, silently waits
You do it, he comes and breaks
He waits for the last day, spews hatred
His heart is a swamp, swallowing tomorrow
You don't see
You don't hear
It always exists
A white palace on the top
A jester king in the palace
Whose turn is it for the bad news?
The painter of bloody pictures
A human grave in the exhibition
The darkness for sale is in the frame
A white palace on the top
A jester king in the palace
Whose turn is it for the bad news?
The painter of bloody pictures
A human grave in the exhibition
The darkness for sale is in the frame
His god is money, a slave to himself
The words are poison, don't listen to him
Faithful servants kiss his hem
It produces fear, hides the ornaments
You take
You sell
You swallow
A white palace on the top
A jester king in the palace
Whose turn is it for the bad news?
The painter of bloody pictures
A human grave in the exhibition
The darkness for sale is in the frame
A white palace on the top
A jester king in the palace
Whose turn is it for the bad news?
The painter of bloody pictures
A human grave in the exhibition
The darkness for sale is in the frame
