Aksoy, who shared a striking text on her social media account, recounted an incident of theft she experienced when she was only 14-15 years old. While narrating the incident, she also expressed the impact of various harassments she had faced until that time.

"I WALKED LOOKING AHEAD"

The famous actress described an incident she experienced at the age of 14-15 with the following words: "One weekend afternoon, I was mugged while returning home. I was afraid to look back at the car that slowly approached me, and since I only knew how to walk silently looking ahead every time I was harassed, they easily reached out and grabbed my bag. I was dragged on the ground next to the car for a while."

"THANKFULLY, THEIR AIM WAS NOT TO TOUCH ME"

While evaluating the effects of the incident she experienced, Aksoy stated, "By the time I reached that age, I had been harassed in so many different ways that I remember being grateful in the face of such a traumatic event. I thought, 'Thank goodness this time it wasn't harassment, thank goodness their aim wasn't to touch me.'

Saadet Işıl Aksoy also described the pressure women face while walking on the street. Referring to the reflexes that young women develop to cope with this situation, the actress said, "It was common for an unknown person to suddenly approach and touch you while walking on the street. That's why, as young women, we all had tendencies that reflected in our daily lives. For example, if a man was coming from the opposite direction, we would change sidewalks. Or on public transport, we would always turn our back to a place where there was no one and shield our front with our bags..." Aksoy stated that while the forms of harassment have changed over time, the need to protect oneself against this threat has never ceased, saying, "As I got older, the forms of harassment continued to change, and I kept learning to increase my protection methods."

"NOW WE ARE TALKING, NOW WE KNOW"

The famous actress emphasized that these traumatic experiences should not be passed on to girls and concluded her post with hopeful expressions for the future:

"Today, I hold on to the hope that my daughter will not have to build these walls in her own life. Because now we are talking. Because now we know. Because we feel 'the possibility that she could also be abused.' We protect by talking, we empower by hugging. We embrace every woman with compassion for all the women within us."
