Famous artist Safiye Soyman and Faik Öztürk stated that they were shocked by the exorbitant prices after receiving a bill of 18,000 TL for two lahmacuns, one Adana kebab, and two ayrans in Bodrum.
The famous artist Safiye Soyman and her long-time life partner Faik Öztürk were left speechless by the food prices they encountered during their summer vacation in Bodrum. The duo, who experienced a big surprise with a simple menu, protested against the exorbitant prices at some venues in Bodrum.
THEY SAID IT WAS A GIFT, BUT THE BILL CAME: 18,000 TL
Faik Öztürk stated that only two lahmacun, one Adana kebab, and two ayrans were offered to them as guests at the venue, but they were presented with a bill of 18,000 TL for this menu. Reacting to the situation, Öztürk said, "It was very expensive. Bodrum is not such a place; there are places to eat that are suitable for every budget. They shouldn't tarnish Bodrum's name. Because the tradespeople of Bodrum are also affected by this situation," he expressed.
SAFİYE SOYMAN: "WE WERE STUNNED WHEN WE HEARD THE PRICE"
Safiye Soyman also described their experience with astonishment. She stated that they could not accept such a high price for the simple menu offered as a gift, saying:
"We went there as guests. There was nothing extravagant on the table. When the bill came, we were almost frozen. We were really shocked."
