Due to the flight cancellations caused by Iran's retaliation against the attacks from the US and Israel, Fenerbahçe Beko Head Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius and his team are returning to Turkey from the area where they were stranded in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Due to the retaliatory actions taken by Iran against the attacks from the USA and Israel, following the flight cancellations, Fenerbahçe Beko Head Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, player Armando Bacot, and physiotherapist Jaime Capella Bouza were stranded in Dubai, while sports director Uğur Ozan Sulak was stranded in Abu Dhabi.
JASIKEVICIUS AND HIS TEAM ARE RETURNING TO TURKEY
The head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius and his team from the yellow-blue team have set off for their return to Turkey from Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the morning hours. All four individuals are expected to be in Turkey by the evening.
FENERBAHÇE'S STATEMENT
Fenerbahçe Beko made the following statement regarding Sarunas Jasikevicius: "Our head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, our player Armando Bacot, our physiotherapist Jaime Capella Bouza went to Dubai to rest between the national team and the national and international leagues, while our sports director Uğur Ozan Sulak went to Abu Dhabi to watch the adidas NextGen Tournament.
During the time our four family members were in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, flights at the airports were temporarily halted due to security reasons following the explosions that occurred in the region. Communication with our team, which is in a safe area, continues uninterrupted, and all steps regarding their transfer to Istanbul are being taken in coordination with our government officials and local units."
