PAKISTAN'S TERRORISM ISSUE
Armed attacks in Pakistan are concentrated, especially in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, which border Afghanistan. Armed groups claiming to defend the rights of Pashtun and Baloch ethnic groups in both provinces are carrying out attacks against Pakistani security forces and civilians. While Islamabad claims that the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) has established itself in Afghanistan and organizes its attacks from there, the Afghan administration denies these allegations. In Balochistan, the attacks of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) are prominent. The BLA seeks the separation of Balochistan province from Pakistan and wants the Baloch people to govern this region.
