Fatıma Zehra Kınık Demir, the daughter of former Turkish Red Crescent President Kerem Kınık, was found to be 100% at fault by the expert witness for causing the death of 17-year-old Batın Barlasçeki and injuring two others when she collided with a motorcycle while driving her car from a side street to the main road in Istanbul Beykoz on July 9th.
The expert report was prepared regarding Fatıma Zehra Kınık Demir, the daughter of Kerem Kınık, the former President of the Red Crescent, who caused the death of 17-year-old Batın Barlasçeki. According to the report, Kınık was found to be 100% at fault.
In the incident, which was also captured second by second on security cameras, Fatıma Zehra Kınık Demir, driving her car, collided with the motorcycle driven by Yavuz Selim Öztürk while trying to get from Baki Street in Beykoz Kavacık Rüzgarlıbahçe to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Avenue.
In the incident, 17-year-old Batın Barlasçeki, who was sitting behind the motorcycle, lost his life, and Yavuz Selim Öztürk, who was driving the motorcycle, and Muammer Kızıl, who was hit by the motorcycle and dragged on the sidewalk, were injured.
RELEASED AFTER 1 DAY OF DETENTION
After the fatal incident, Fatıma Zehra Kınık Demir, who was taken into custody, was released by the court to be tried without detention after a one-day detention process. According to the expert report, it was learned that she was found to be 100% at fault for causing the accident by entering the main road without waiting for the passage of other vehicles.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE INTRODUCTION AND CONCLUSION OF THE INDICTMENT
An indictment was prepared by the Anatolian Republic Prosecutor's Office regarding Fatıma Zehra Kınık Demir, the daughter of former Red Crescent President Kerem Kınık, for causing the death of one person and the injury of two people in a traffic accident, with a demand for imprisonment from 2 to 15 years for the crimes of "Causing death and injury by negligence".
However, despite the footage and expert determinations, the introduction section of the indictment stated that the suspect Fatıma Zehra Kınık Demir, while driving her vehicle with license plate number 34 FKJ 390, was driving in Kavacık neighborhood when she entered FSM Avenue from Baki Street, and the victim Yavuz Selim, who was driving the motorcycle with license plate number 34 HUT 980 on FSM Avenue in the direction of Rüzgarlıbahçe, collided with the suspect's vehicle, causing it to overturn and drag on the ground, and while being dragged, it hit the victim Muammer Kızıl, who was walking on the sidewalk.
In the conclusion section, it was stated that "The suspect, with the vehicle she was driving on the date of the incident, collided with the motorcycle of the victim Yavuz Selim, causing the death of Batın Barlasçeki and the injury of Muammer Kızıl and Yavuz Selim Öztürk as a result of her negligent act."
