A small plane made an emergency landing on a highway in northwestern Slovenia on Friday.
The two-seater aircraft hit an embankment and overturned as it landed near the village of Brezje, some 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the capital Ljubljana.
There were two people in the plane, both of whom remained unharmed and managed to get out of the aircraft by themselves, police said.
According to local media reports, the plane took off from the Lesce-Bled Airport, a short distance from where it landed, without any problems.
It lost contact with air traffic control after takeoff, but the pilot eventually managed to report that the plane was facing engine problems.
The pilot said he was forced to make an emergency landing on the highway, the reports said. -
