Stabbing fight in a high school courtyard in İzmir: 5 injured, including 3 students.

A brawl broke out in the courtyard of a high school in Izmir, causing panic. Five people, including three students, were injured by knives. It was reported that one of the injured is in serious condition.

The incident occurred in the morning at İMKB Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School located in the Seferihisar district, where a dispute arose for an undetermined reason between students M.C.B., R.Y., and H.İ.K., and two students from the Vocational Training Center in the schoolyard. The argument quickly escalated into a fight. Mehmet G. and Bahadır Erdem G., who allegedly came from outside the school, also joined the brawl.

5 STUDENTS STABBED EACH OTHER

In the fight, Mehmet G. inflicted a total of 4 stab wounds, 3 to the left leg and 1 to the right leg; Bahadır Erdem G. inflicted a total of 5 stab wounds to the left hand, back, and abdomen, while student H.İ.K. was stabbed in the chest and hip, and M.C.B. and R.Y. were injured in the right hand.

POLICE ARRIVED AT THE SCENE

Upon notification, a medical team was dispatched to the address. The injured were taken to Seferihisar State Hospital by ambulances. Four of the students were discharged after treatment, while one student, whose condition was more serious than the others, was transferred to Urla State Hospital.

The police took extensive security measures around the school following the incident. While the cause of the fight is being investigated, the police and school administration have launched an inquiry.
