In the investigation of the traffic accident in which two sisters lost their lives in Izmir, it was learned that the suspect T.D., who disappeared after the accident, was wanted in connection with the largest drug operation in Izmir's history, and for this reason, he fled the scene. The suspect, who was detained by gendarmerie teams, was referred to the courthouse with a request for arrest after his procedures.
In the investigation regarding the traffic accident in which two sisters lost their lives in the Menderes district, it was revealed that the suspect T.D., who fled after the accident, was wanted as a fugitive in the largest drug operation in the history of İzmir.
2 BODIES WERE FOUND IN THE VEHICLE
The accident occurred on the evening of February 6 in Menderes. Nergiz Türkkal (21) and Balımnaz Türkkal (16), who were in the car, lost their lives when the vehicle with the license plate 35 CPV 616 overturned into the creek bed. D.Y. (28) and T.D. (33), who survived the accident, left the scene after getting out of the vehicle. Based on the information provided by D.Y., who surrendered the day after the accident, gendarmerie teams went to the scene. Nergiz Türkkal's lifeless body was found inside the vehicle, while Balımnaz Türkkal's body was discovered by citizens near the creek.

In the statement of T.D., who was captured as part of the investigation, it was learned that he said they had consumed alcohol while returning from entertainment venues and that the vehicle crashed on the bridge and fell into the creek bed. However, it was determined that T.D. was a fugitive in the investigation conducted against drug trafficking, which is recorded as the largest operation in the history of İzmir, and that he fled after the accident for this reason. After his procedures at the gendarmerie, D.Y. was released, while T.D., who was also wanted in the drug operation, was referred to the courthouse with a request for arrest.
