Ufuk Avcı, a 54-year-old excavator operator working at an acid factory in the Bandırma district of Balıkesir, lost his life on the job. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
A scoop operator working at an acid factory in the Bandırma district of Balıkesir lost his life on duty. According to the information obtained, 54-year-old Ufuk Avcı, who worked as a scoop operator at the acid factory operated by a company named Hicri Ercili, located behind the new bus station in the Ömerli Rural Neighborhood of Bandırma, was found motionless in the operator cabin on the scoop by his colleagues around 22:35 on January 12. Upon notification of the situation, 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE INCIDENT
Health teams determined that Avcı had passed away during their checks. The body was first taken to Bandırma Training and Research Hospital. After examinations conducted there, it was sent to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institution to determine the exact cause of death. While information was provided to the on-duty Public Prosecutor regarding the incident, it was learned that an investigation had been initiated in accordance with the prosecutor's instructions.
