Syrian intelligence claimed that the YPG/SDF has incorporated criminals linked to the PKK and that these individuals were allowed to remain in SDF areas in exchange for joining the organization. It was alleged that the attacks in Aleppo were carried out using Iranian-made drones.
The Syrian intelligence claimed that the terrorist organization YPG/SDG has recruited wanted criminals by the Syrian state into its ranks.
An intelligence source speaking to the Syrian official news agency SANA stated that the SDG, which is linked to the terrorist organization PKK, has incorporated individuals who fled to its controlled areas.
FORMER REGIME ELEMENTS PARTICIPATE AS FIGHTERS
The same source alleged that a significant number of former regime elements wanted for various crimes are participating as fighters within the organization. It was stated that these individuals joined the organization in exchange for staying in SDG areas.
"THEY USED IRANIAN-MADE DRONES"
It was claimed that the attacks on the city center of Aleppo were carried out by members of the PKK in cooperation with YPG/SDG using Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles. It was reported that some "terrorist actions" in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods were thwarted by military intelligence units.
The intelligence source indicated that PKK members used these individuals to procure materials used in the making of explosives and bombs to target areas where civilians gather, as well as the Syrian army and security forces.
