The changes made to the Highway Traffic Regulation and the School Service Vehicles Regulation have been published in the Official Gazette, and an emergency button and camera requirement have been introduced for taxis.
With the amendment to the Highway Traffic Regulation published in the Official Gazette, an emergency button and camera requirement have been introduced for taxi and taxi dolmuş type vehicles.
TO BE RECORDED IN THE VEHICLE REGISTRATION
According to the regulation, the equipment will be recorded in the vehicle registration with a document issued by institutions or organizations assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. A copy of the document will be kept in the vehicle to be presented during inspections. The equipment will be checked at regular intervals to ensure it is functioning properly. The cameras will record for at least one month.
CHANGES TO THE SCHOOL SERVICE VEHICLES REGULATION
With the changes made to the School Service Vehicles Regulation, a minimum of two years of driving experience is required for a Class D driver's license, and a minimum of five years for a Class D1 driver's license. Additionally, a report confirming the suitability for school bus driving will be obtained from the family doctor every year.
