Retired police officer Mehmet Üstün lost his life in a tractor accident that occurred in the Aksu district of Antalya. It was determined that Üstün, who was working in his garden, was trapped under the overturned tractor and died at the scene. His relatives, who received the tragic news, went into a nervous breakdown.
Retired police officer Mehmet Üstün (54) lost his life after being trapped under a tractor that overturned while he was working in his garden in the Aksu district of Antalya.
TRACTOR OVERTURNED INTO THE DITCH
The accident occurred around 1:30 PM in a garden on 27330 Street in Hacıaliler Neighborhood. Retired police officer Mehmet Üstün began plowing the garden with a plow attached to the back of the tractor. After a while, the sliding tractor lost control, fell into the ditch, and Üstün was trapped under the vehicle.
TEAMS MOBILIZED
Those who witnessed the accident immediately rushed to help, and upon notification, police, fire brigade, medical, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. In the operations where two construction machines were also used, Üstün was extracted from his location and moved to a safe area.
IT WAS DETERMINED HE HAD DIED
In the examination conducted by the medical teams at the scene, it was determined that Mehmet Üstün had lost his life.
Relatives who received the sad news went into a state of shock.
HE RETIRED 3 YEARS AGO
It was learned that Mehmet Üstün served in the Muratpaşa District Police Department's Patrol Teams within the Antalya Police Department and retired approximately 3 years ago.
Üstün's body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy after the prosecutor's office and crime scene investigation teams completed their work.
