The cold weather that has been affecting Bulak village in Karabük has claimed a life. 80-year-old Zehra Bölüm was found dead in a frozen state in her backyard. It is assessed that the elderly woman died from freezing, and an investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.

FOUND MOTIONLESS IN THE BACKYARD
The incident occurred in Bulak village, which is affiliated with the center of Karabük. Relatives who saw the woman named Zehra Bölüm (80) motionless in the back of her house reported the situation to the authorities.
Upon notification, gendarmerie and health teams were dispatched to the scene. Health teams determined that the elderly woman had passed away during their examination.
INITIAL ASSESSMENT: DEATH BY FREEZING
Initial examinations suggested that Zehra Bölüm died from freezing. It was learned that the exact cause of death would be clarified after an autopsy.
The body of Zehra Bölüm was taken to the morgue of Karabük Training and Research Hospital after the investigations at the scene were completed.
An investigation has been initiated by the gendarmerie teams regarding the incident.
