A noise dispute among apartment residents in Kağıthane, Istanbul, ended in bloodshed. After a disagreement with his neighbors on the upper floor, 19-year-old Yusuf A., who lives on the lower floor, opened fire through the peephole of his door, killing one person and injuring two others.

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in Kağıthane. A dispute arose between Melek İlayda Ç. (22) and Yusuf A. due to the sound of children. When Yusuf A., who lived on the lower floor, went upstairs to complain, he cursed. In response, Melek İlayda's brother, Rıdvan Çevik (34), went downstairs to react. The suspect, Yusuf A., fired shots while looking through the peephole of the apartment door. The bullets hit Rıdvan Çevik, his uncle Cavit Ç. (57), and his aunt Hatice Ç. (51), injuring them.
CAUGHT IN A SHORT TIME
Severely injured, Rıdvan Çevik died in the hospital. It was learned that Rıdvan Çevik was the father of a daughter. The suspect, Yusuf A., was caught and taken into custody by the Kağıthane Public Security Bureau teams along with the weapon he used in the incident. An examination revealed that the suspect, Yusuf A., had a criminal record for 'Intentional Injury.'
"FIRING THROUGH THE PEEPHOLE"
The funeral of Rıdvan Çevik, who lost his life in the incident, was taken from the Forensic Medicine Institution. Çevik's uncle, Abdülkadir Aksoy, stated, "The children made noise, and that's why they argued. The person went upstairs and cursed. Rıdvan went home asking why he was cursing. He is firing behind the door. Looking through the peephole. Rıdvan gets shot. Then his uncle and aunt are also shot. He was a psychopath. He had disturbed us a couple of times before."
