The medals for the last two races of the cross-country skiing event were awarded to the winners during the ceremony.

The medals were presented to Swedish Ebba Andersson, Norwegian Heidi Weng, and Swiss Nadja Kaelin, who finished in the top 3 in the women's 50-kilometer mass start classic, as well as to Norwegian athletes Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo, Martin Loewstroem Nyenget, and Emil Iversen, who placed in the men's 50-kilometer mass start classic.

The USA came in second with 33 medals, including 12 gold, while the Netherlands secured third place with a total of 20 medals, including 10 gold, 7 silver, and 3 bronze, and the host country Italy ranked fourth with 30 medals, including 10 gold, 6 silver, and 14 bronze.

Turkey concluded the event without winning any medals, represented by 8 athletes. The next Winter Olympics will be hosted by the French Alps in 2030.
