As part of the commemorative ceremonies for the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli Campaign, a traditional 'Dawn Service' was held at Anzac Cove on the Historic Gallipoli Peninsula. Thousands of Australians and New Zealanders attended the ceremony, during which Lieutenant Colonel Özkan Çelik, representing the Turkish Armed Forces, read the letter written by the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to the Anzac mothers in both Turkish and English.

The Dawn Service, which started at 04:30 in the morning, continued with speeches from the New Zealand Defence Forces and the Australian Defence Forces. Then, an honor video depicting Shell Green Cemetery was shown.

Then, a Karanga (call to gather) was made. Speeches were given on behalf of New Zealand and Australia. Lieutenant Colonel Özkan Çelik, on behalf of the Turkish Armed Forces, read the letter written by Atatürk to the Anzac mothers in both Turkish and English.

The ceremony continued with the laying of wreaths by Turkey and other countries. While the bugle was played and a moment of silence was observed, the national anthems of Turkey, Australia, and New Zealand were sung. The ceremony concluded with the final words of dedication.
