Shocking details have emerged regarding the attack in the Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany, which resulted in the deaths of 5 people and injuries to 205 others. It has been determined that Dr. Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, a psychiatrist of Saudi origin, has been on the radar of German security forces for 11 years. According to a confidential file obtained by Bild newspaper, various warnings had been issued about the 50-year-old suspect for years. It was revealed that al-Abdulmohsen threatened a medical association in 2013, made threats of attack and suicide in 2014, and targeted German judges in 2015. He also hinted at "massacring German citizens" on social media. However, despite all these warnings, the suspect was never considered a serious threat. In the attack that took place last Friday, it is reported that al-Abdulmohsen deliberately drove his vehicle into a crowd. A 9-year-old child, a mother of three, and an elderly couple lost their lives in the attack. Of the 205 injured, 40 are still in critical condition. Interior Minister Nancy Faeser stated that the suspect did not fit any mold, saying, "Despite being against Islam, his actions resemble Islamist terrorism." The suspect, who identifies as an atheist and is known for his anti-Islam views, also supported Germany's anti-immigrant AfD party. It is claimed that the attacker stayed in a hotel and planned the act. The suspect will be tried for five counts of murder and will be held in custody during the trial.
