The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office has made changes to the trademark renewal, cancellation, and application fees for the year 2025. According to the new tariff, while some fees have increased, new regulations have been introduced for additional class applications.
The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office has made changes to the fee schedule for the year 2025, and the new schedule has been published in the Official Gazette.
With the publication in the Official Gazette of the "Notification on the Amendment of the Notification Regarding the Fee Schedule to be Applied by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office in 2025 (BİK/TÜRKPATENT: 2025/2)", the fees for trademark renewal, cancellation, and application have been updated. According to the notification, while some fees related to trademark renewal and cancellation have increased, new regulations have been introduced for additional class applications.
According to the new fee schedule;
Trademark renewal fee (for up to 2 classes): 2,049.67 TL
Trademark renewal fee for trademarks whose protection period has expired (for up to 2 classes): 5,235.42 TL
Trademark cancellation fee: 23,458.33 TL
Deposit amount for trademark cancellation request: 23,458.33 TL
Additional trademark renewal fee for each additional class: 500 TL
Additional renewal fee for trademarks whose protection period has expired for each additional class: 875 TL
Additional class fee for trademark application (for the 3rd class and beyond): 654.42 TL
Additional class fee for the 3rd class and beyond selected in the 34 commodity class under group 35/5: 300 TL has been determined.
NEW FEES HAVE COME INTO EFFECT
With the new articles added to the notification, it was stated that the fee for trademark cancellation requests would be collected in two separate items. The trademark cancellation fee and the amount to be held in the deposit account will be collected in a single payment, but VAT will not be added to the deposit amount.
