The eyes are on the lottery draw for the social housing project of TOKİ, which includes 500,000 units, to be held in Istanbul. After Minister Murat Kurum indicated that the draw would take place after the holiday, the date for the Istanbul lottery has not yet been finalized. MINISTER KURUM: LOTTERIES WILL BE DRAWN AFTER THE HOLIDAY
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated that the lottery draws across Turkey for the 500,000 social housing project are nearing completion. Kurum announced that the lottery draws in Istanbul will also take place after the holiday with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In his statement, Kurum emphasized that a special rental social housing project for Istanbul will also be launched, expressing that this step aims to balance rental and housing prices.
LOTTERY DRAW DATE
After Minister Kurum's statements, attention turned to the lottery draw date. The date for the TOKİ Istanbul lottery draw is not yet clear. According to backstage information, it is estimated that the lottery draw could take place in the week of March 30 - April 5.
PAYMENT PLAN AND INSTALLMENT DETAILS ANNOUNCED
The payment plan for social housing in Istanbul has also been clarified. For 55 square meter 1+1 apartments, a down payment of 195,000 TL and an installment of 7,313 TL will be required; for 65 square meter 2+1 apartments, a down payment of 245,000 TL and an installment of 9,188 TL; and for 80 square meter 2+1 apartments, a down payment of 295,000 TL and an installment of 11,063 TL will be paid. Installments will be updated every 6 months according to the civil servant salary increase rate.
FIRST INSTALLMENT DATE ANNOUNCED
Installment payments for TOKİ houses will start in the month following the signing of the contract. While the first deliveries are planned for March 2027, some houses are expected to be delivered within 2026.
ACCEPTED APPLICATIONS ANNOUNCED
TOKİ has completed the application evaluation process for the 100,000 housing project in Istanbul. The list of citizens whose applications were accepted and rejected has been published on the institution's official website. Candidates can learn the results from the relevant lottery inquiry screen.
