The new data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) reveals how life expectancy varies from city to city in our country. The expected average life expectancy at birth has risen to 78.3 years, while it has been determined that in some provinces this duration is significantly above the national average. At the top of the list is a surprising city.
TUNCELI AT THE TOP
Evaluations on a provincial basis have shown that Tunceli is the province with the longest life expectancy in Turkey. In Tunceli, the expected life expectancy for women is 84.1 years, for men 77 years, and the overall average is measured at 80.3 years.
Muğla follows Tunceli in second place. In Muğla, the average life expectancy for women is 84 years, for men 77.7 years, and the total is 80.7 years.
AHEAD IN THE AEGEAN AND BLACK SEA
The data shows that most of the provinces with long life expectancy are located in the Aegean and Black Sea regions, while only one city from the Central Anatolia Region made it into the top 10.

According to TÜİK's data, especially in these cities that stand out with their nature, lifestyle, and socioeconomic conditions, the average lifespan exceeds the national average.
