According to a report by the U.S.-based Axios platform, based on statements from Republicans in Congress, measures that will weaken the party's position in the upcoming midterm elections in November, which lacks public support for the war, are being considered.
Republican members of the House of Representatives claim that they are addressing "corruption" in federal health programs and that cuts in spending in this area are planned.

The statements from Congress members came during a time when a budget of 200 billion dollars was requested for financing attacks on Iran, and a significant portion of the budget of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was suspended due to disagreements with the Democratic Party over operations against immigrants in the country.
Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren also stated in a post on March 27 on the social media platform of the U.S.-based X company, "Republicans in Congress want to cut Americans' health care to finance more war in Iran. Think about that."
U.S.-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the U.S.-Israel attacks, former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.
