Famous chef Hazer Amani spoke for the first time about his marriage to Sıla Gençoğlu years later on the program "Haber Bahane." Amani, who said, "It was a lightning-fast love, but our rhythms were different," drew attention with his words, "I am not an unfaithful man; it had to be that way at the time." The famous chef had married Sıla in 2020, but they parted ways in 2021.
One of the successful names in the world of gastronomy, Hazer Amani, made heartfelt statements about his past and personal life in an interview with Gökay Kalaycıoğlu on the Haber Bahane program. Amani, who spoke about his passion for cooking since childhood, also shared his unique discipline method when it comes to weight.
The famous chef, who mentioned that he was overweight during his middle school years, explained that he underwent a physical transformation during his transition to high school. "At that age, I looked in the mirror and said, either you will love food very much or you will love women. Women do not like overweight men. So, I restricted my throat a bit," Amani said, creating a sincere smile with these words.
The chef, who stated that he gains and loses weight in his busy working life, defined his own system as "wardrobe alarm": "I have a nice wardrobe, if the front of my jacket doesn't close, I start my diet that day. I start the next day as well." Amani, who mentioned that he doesn't have a sweet tooth and doesn't use sugar, explained how he maintains his form by saying, "I never crave sweets, and I limit carbohydrates periodically."
"I AM NOT A CHEATING MAN"
Responding to allegations about his personal life in the interview, Hazer Amani answered Gökay Kalaycıoğlu's question, "Have you ever been a cheating man?" clearly. "I am not," Amani said, noting that during his relationship with Sıla, they were already in the process of divorce, and he expressed, "The MasterChef recordings were ongoing. If I had taken off the ring at that time, the issue would have become more tabloid. That's why I took off the ring later. I was sad if there were any misunderstandings during that process, but I cannot shape my life to avoid hurting someone." Amani stated that he is understanding towards criticisms about his personal life, saying, "I may have hurt some people, but I apologize. It had to be that way at that time."
"LONG-TERM RHYTHMS MAY NOT MATCH"
The famous chef also made sincere statements about his short marriage to singer Sıla Gençoğlu. After a relationship of about eight months, he said they got married and separated within a year, describing this process with the words, "We experienced a lightning love, but our rhythms were different."
"That is a different world, a brighter life. Mine is a simpler life. You get along very well, but in the long term, rhythms may not match," Amani said, clearly stating that he does not regret this marriage. "I don't know if I would say I wouldn't do it if it were now, but I am not regretful. It had to be that way at that time," he expressed.
