Hamdi Akın, the Chairman of the Board of Akfen Holding and former Vice President of Fenerbahçe, has been summoned to testify as part of the corruption investigation conducted against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB).

Hamdi Akın, Chairman of the Board of Akfen Holding and former Vice President of Fenerbahçe, has been summoned for testimony as part of the investigation.
WHO IS HAMDİ AKIN?
Hamdi Akın was born on August 17, 1954, in Istanbul. After completing high school at Mustafa Kemal High School in Ankara, he graduated from Gazi University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He started his business life by producing water and fuel tanks during his university years. Later, he established Akfen by engaging in the trade of construction materials.
In 1976, he focused on infrastructure projects with Akfen, which he founded. His first major project was the Antalya Airport Terminal Building. In 1997, he co-founded TAV with the Tepe Group and won the tender for Istanbul Atatürk Airport. He has gathered companies operating in various sectors under Akfen Holding. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Akfen Holding and TAV Airports Holding. Additionally, he makes significant contributions to social responsibility projects and the field of education.
