The date of the meeting between President Erdoğan and the DEM Party delegation from Imralı has been announced. The meeting will take place on October 28 at Beştepe, and DEM Party delegation members Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar will attend.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet with DEM Party İmralı Committee members Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar on October 28 at Beştepe. This meeting will be the third encounter between the parties.
MEETING ON OCTOBER 28 AT BEŞTEPE
DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit announced a few days ago that the İmralı Committee would meet with President Erdoğan in the near future. According to the new schedule, President Erdoğan and the DEM Party İmralı Committee will come together at the Presidential Complex on October 28.
FIRST CONTACT AFTER 13 YEARS ON APRIL 10
The first meeting between the committee and Erdoğan took place on April 10, and this contact after 13 years drew attention. DEM Party Van Deputy Pervin Buldan and the late Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly and Istanbul Deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder attended the meeting.
SECOND MEETING HELD IN JULY
The parties met for the second time on July 7 at Beştepe. In this meeting, Pervin Buldan and DEM Party Şanlıurfa Deputy Mithat Sancar were present, while AK Party Deputy Chair Efkan Ala and MIT President İbrahim Kalın also attended. The meeting lasted about an hour.
PREPARATIONS AT DEM PARTY HEADQUARTERS BEFORE THE MEETING
It was noted that the İmralı Committee had previously met with Abdullah Öcalan on İmralı Island and then gathered with Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları at the DEM Party Headquarters before the Beştepe visit.
The new meeting is expected to continue the topics that were raised in previous contacts.
