As part of the corruption investigation conducted against the municipality in Bolu, the court decided to continue the detention of Tanju Özcan, who is in custody, and Deputy Mayor Süleyman Can. In the course of the investigation, a house arrest decision was issued for Ali Sarıyıldız, a member of the BOLSEV Board of Directors, while the other 10 suspects were released under judicial control conditions.
The court issued a provisional decision regarding Tanju Özcan, who was arrested as part of the bribery investigation conducted in Bolu, and Deputy Mayor Süleyman Can. As a result of the evaluation, it was ruled that both individuals would remain in custody.
INVESTIGATION STARTED ON FEBRUARY 28
As part of the investigation initiated by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on February 28, a simultaneous operation was carried out against the municipality on the charge of forcing a public official to misuse their influence for unjust benefits (bribery). A total of 13 suspects were detained during the operations.
Among the suspects referred to the court by the prosecutor's office with a request for arrest, Tanju Özcan and Süleyman Can were arrested by the Bolu 2nd Criminal Court of Peace and sent to prison.

COURT ANNOUNCED PROVISIONAL DECISION
During the hearing for the provisional decision regarding the detained Özcan and Can, the defendants' lawyers presented their objections to the court. In the closed session, the court panel concluded that the existing evidence and the reasons for detention still persisted.
The court decided that both individuals would continue to be held in custody.
