THE INCIDENT STARTED IN A TEA HOUSE
The incident occurred on April 27 at around 3:00 PM in the Armutlu neighborhood. A dispute arose between Timur İpçi (43), who worked at the tea house, and his friend Fatih Ünal (47) over a debt. As the argument quickly escalated into a fight, Ünal fired with the shotgun he had with him.

A lawsuit was filed against Fatih Ünal for "intentional killing" at the 4th High Criminal Court. In the first hearing of the case, Ünal claimed that the incident did not stem from a debt issue.
In his statement, Ünal made the following claims: "Timur İpçi and I came together to clean the shotgun. We attached a stabilizer to the end of the shotguns. While getting on the motorcycle, my foot got caught on the pavement. I lost my balance and when I fell, the gun fired and Timur was shot in the chest."
