An important development occurred during the discussions of the Climate Law brought to the GNAT. The discussions regarding the bill, which passed the first four articles in the GNAT, were stated to continue today and tomorrow but have currently been removed from the GNAT agenda.
WHAT DOES THE LAW AIM FOR?
The climate law proposal, which is critical for creating climate-resilient cities and reducing disaster risks, will create a roadmap for the protection of biodiversity and natural resources, ensuring water and food security, increasing forests and green areas, and reducing energy dependency by increasing renewable energy capacities.
