In the Darıca district of Kocaeli, a drunk driver drove a truck into the parking lot of Farabi Training and Research Hospital. During the checks, it was determined that the driver had a blood alcohol level of 2.26 promille, and drugs were found in the vehicle.
In the Darıca district of Kocaeli, allegedly, Arif B. (35), who entered the wrong way while intoxicated, drove his truck into the parking lot of the Farabi Education and Research Hospital's Emergency Department. The truck driver Arif B. was found to be intoxicated by the hospital police, and during the search conducted by the teams in the vehicle, drugs were seized.
HE TURNED THE STEERING TOWARDS THE HOSPITAL
The incident occurred around 11:00 PM at the Darıca Farabi Education and Research Hospital located in the Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood. Allegedly, the truck with license plate 34 KVN 407, driven by Arif B., who had an empty container on its trailer, suddenly turned the steering wheel while driving on Dr. Zeki Acar Street and entered the area where the Farabi Education and Research Hospital is located. Truck driver Arif B. then entered the emergency service parking lot a few meters ahead, passing between parked vehicles on both sides.
HOSPITAL POLICE STOPPED HIM, HE DID NOT GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE
Upon the panic and shouting of those who witnessed the incident, the hospital police came outside, stopped the truck, and called for support. While many reinforcement teams arrived at the scene, truck driver Arif B. locked himself in his vehicle and began shouting "Let me go" for minutes. After the police's attempts to persuade him, Arif B. was taken out of the vehicle and detained.
HE WAS FOUND TO BE INTOXICATED, DRUGS WERE SEIZED IN THE TRUCK
It was determined that Arif B. had a blood alcohol level of 2.26 promille after the alcohol measurement conducted by the police, and during the search inside the vehicle, 4.7 grams of drugs were seized. A blood sample was taken from driver Arif B., who was injured on his arm, to determine whether he had used drugs, and after his treatment, he was taken to the police station. The police, wanting to conduct a more comprehensive search of the truck, had the vehicle towed to the police station. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
