Of the 144 students attending Aksöğüt Primary and Secondary School, 30 come from different villages under a transportation education program, while 111 students carry the surname "Yeşilyurt." In the village, where some students with the same name are numbered (Name-1, Name-2), some teachers have to distinguish between students with the same name using adjectives like "brunette," "tall," "short," and "blonde," and sometimes the fathers' names are added next to the names.

To prevent the confusion experienced in many areas, from delivering mail to official transactions, new names such as Asel, Belinay, Asmina, Semine, Eslem, Mirhat, and Miran, which are rarely used, have started to be given to newborns instead of traditional names.

Muhtar Talip Yeşilyurt stated that everyone in the village, including the imam, is related and carries the same surname, and that confusion arises in schools and official institutions due to name similarities. Yeşilyurt expressed that there are several students with the same name in almost every class, saying, "Our village is like a big family. For this reason, we have started giving new names to the children."
Yeşilyurt recounted that he worked as a minibus driver in the village for 10 years in the past, stating that he had difficulty finding the owners of the belongings he transported. "We were really struggling," said Yeşilyurt, noting that with the advancement of technology, things have become a bit easier.
Yeşilyurt mentioned, "Every Friday, mail comes, and they call me. I think and research for hours. Since 5 names are the same, we look at the household numbers. We struggle until we find the owner, calling here and there. Now that we are giving different names, the confusion will decrease even more," he said.
"FRIENDS BEFORE US HAVE EXPERIENCED A LOT OF GRIEVANCES"
Social studies teacher İbrahim Ertaş also stated that he has just started working at the school in the village and that the confusions experienced previously have now decreased. Ertaş said, "Friends before us have suffered a lot due to name similarities. Now families are using different names. Therefore, we are not experiencing as many problems in the classrooms as before."
"WHEN I CALL ONE, BOTH COME"
Kindergarten teacher Ayşe Aksoy pointed out that most of the students in the school are relatives and said: "I have two Ecrins in my class. When I say 'Ecrin,' both look at me at the same time. When I call one or give commands during activities, both respond to me at the same time. When I call one, both come at once. The naming of children born in the village in recent years with names like Asel, Belinay, and Asmina has also reflected in the school, thus reducing confusions."
