In a statement from the hospital regarding İbrahim Tatlıses's health condition, it was noted that he suffered from a serious infection related to his gallbladder and was therefore taken into surgery. The doctors who performed the operation stated that the surgery was successful, but due to the risky nature of the process, Tatlıses is being monitored in intensive care and his condition is under control.
The master of Turkish music, İbrahim Tatlıses, was hospitalized after suddenly falling ill at his home in Istanbul. The 74-year-old artist, who was treated for high fever and low blood pressure, underwent surgery upon the doctors' decision.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE HOSPITAL
In a statement made by the hospital management on April 11, 2026, it was noted that Tatlıses had applied to the emergency room on April 7 and that his treatment had continued in intensive care for a while.
Chief Physician Dr. Engin Çakmakçı stated that the source of the infection was gallbladder inflammation and explained that the decision for surgery was made after observing improvement during the treatment process.

General Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. Bilgi Baca shared the details of the operation, stating that the artist was taken to surgery in the morning hours.
“HE HAD A SEVERE INFECTION”
Prof. Dr. Baca provided the following information regarding Tatlıses' health condition:
“When Mr. İbrahim arrived, he had a very severe infection. We determined that it was gallbladder-related. Therefore, we first applied antibiotic treatment. Everything went well during the surgery, and no complications occurred. However, this was not a simple operation; he will be monitored in intensive care.”
A DATE FOR DISCHARGE HAS BEEN GIVEN
Doctors announced that if the process continues positively, Tatlıses is planned to be discharged next week.

İbrahim Tatlıses, who sent a voice recording to Ece Erken's program "Come, Let's Talk," claimed that his son Ahmet Tatlıses was only by his side when there were cameras and television. The artist, who previously stated that his son was not by his side, said that for this reason, he did not love his son, would not love him, and would not forgive him, also stating that he would not grant him his rights.

Tatlıses also made striking statements regarding his health reports. He expressed that he had received many reports indicating that his mental balance was intact, claiming that his son was trying to deny these reports. He stated that his son's intention was to appoint himself as his guardian.

Touching on financial matters, Tatlıses recounted the support he had given to his son in the past. He mentioned that the shops he had given to Ahmet Tatlıses had been ruined and also claimed that the money from the sales of houses had not reached him.
