The first Turkish language training for armed forces personnel in Cameroon began with a ceremony organized by the Turkey Maarif Foundation. During the ceremony, the Cameroonian Minister of Defense and Turkey's Ambassador to Yaoundé emphasized that the training would strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The first Turkish language training for armed forces personnel in Cameroon has begun. The opening ceremony held at the classroom provided by the Turkey Maarif Foundation was attended by Cameroon’s Minister of Defense Joseph Beti Assomo, Turkey's Ambassador to Yaoundé Volkan Öskiper, and military officials.
"THIS IS JUST A BEGINNING"
In his speech at the ceremony, Ambassador Öskiper emphasized that the first Turkish course for the personnel of the Cameroon Armed Forces has been opened and that this is just a beginning. He stated that cooperation between the two countries will continue in many areas, and informed that soldiers receiving Turkish language training in Cameroon will later participate in various courses in Turkey.

Minister Assomo stated that Turkey is an increasingly strong partner in Africa and noted that Turkey's dynamic progress in Africa offers new opportunities for regional partnerships. He expressed that the classroom will contribute to the relations between the two countries and added that Turkish language training will also contribute to the intellectual development of military personnel.
