The Erzurum 1st Administrative Court annulled the dismissal decision of Lieutenant S.Ç., who was expelled by the High Disciplinary Board of the Land Forces Command for reacting to a lieutenant who did not wear a photo of Atatürk during the commemoration ceremony on November 10, 2023.
At Tuzla Infantry School, a new development has occurred regarding the expulsion decision for seven lieutenants who were referred to disciplinary action after a fight that reportedly started when a lieutenant did not wear a photo of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk during the commemoration ceremony on November 10.
COURT CANCELS EXPULSION DECISION
The Erzurum 1st Administrative Court annulled the expulsion decision of Lieutenant S.Ç., who was expelled by the High Disciplinary Board of the Land Forces Command for reacting to the lieutenant who 'did not wear a photo of Atatürk' during the commemoration ceremony on November 10, 2023.
WHAT HAPPENED?
At the Tuzla Infantry School Command, during the ceremony marking the 85th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's death on November 10, 2023, a discussion broke out among students after a student officer failed to wear the photo he was supposed to wear. Subsequently, a disciplinary investigation was initiated.
A "Temporary Removal from Duty Decision" was taken against all personnel involved in the incident, and they were referred to the High Disciplinary Board of the Land Forces.
As a result of the administrative investigation conducted by the Board, it was reported that a decision of "Separation from the Armed Forces" was made for all 7 soldiers involved in the incident, in accordance with the provisions of the Turkish Armed Forces Disciplinary Law and the Regulations of the Turkish Armed Forces High Disciplinary Boards, as well as other relevant legislation.
