Following the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the flag was flown at half-mast at the Iranian Consulate in Istanbul. A 40-day mourning period and a 7-day public holiday were declared in the country.
The flag was flown at half-mast at the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul. Following the attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, which resulted in casualties, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also lost his life in the Israel-US attack.
40 DAYS OF NATIONAL MOURNING DECLARED
After Khamenei's death, 40 days of national mourning and 7 days of public holiday were declared across the country. As part of the mourning decision, the flag was flown at half-mast at the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul.
