The footage of a young man jumping into the sea after his girlfriend who fell in Sarıyer has emerged.

Yesterday at around 18:30 in Sarıyer, an incident occurred at Aşiyan Beach where, according to claims, a woman walking on the beach fell into the sea. A person who saw her fall jumped in after her. Due to the strong wind and waves, both quickly disappeared from sight. The moments of the incident were captured by a boat's security camera. Search and rescue teams from the Coast Guard and marine police are continuing their efforts to find the two individuals in the sea. Divers are also continuing their dives to find any trace of the two missing people.

The footage captured by the boat's security camera shows the moment when one person fell into the sea. At that moment, another person on the pier jumps in after the one who fell. Then, both individuals disappear from sight.

'THEY WERE FRIENDS'

Fisherman Kadir Akdere stated, "Last night, around 18:00, they were talking, two friends were filming a video. The woman fell into the sea. When her foot went into the void, she fell into the water. The wind was strong. The current was also strong, and they slipped away. They were friends; one jumped in, and the other jumped in to save her. Even if I were there, it would be hard to swim, even though I know how to swim. Even though I swim every day, it’s difficult to stay afloat in that rough water. We throw life rings, but they disappear. They come out from under the motors and under the nets." he said.
