The fire, which was effective over a large area, damaged agricultural lands and forests, as well as livestock farms. A small livestock farm located on the border of Gelibolu and Şarköy was also engulfed in flames. Volunteers from the SAR Search and Rescue Emergency Aid Association, noticing that a sheep was trapped in the facility that was almost completely evacuated before the fire reached it, entered the flames.
