It has been reported that Alim Aykut Esgi, who played for Akhisarspor for a period, has connections with the Mocro gang, one of Europe's most ruthless drug cartels. Esgi is alleged to be one of the closest associates of gang leader Sermet A. and is claimed to be responsible for bomb attacks. Esgi and gang members were captured and arrested by the police.

Alim Aykut Esgi, who once played for Akhisarspor, has been revealed to be associated with the Mocro gang, considered one of Europe's most ruthless drug cartels. Alim Aykut Esgi, who is responsible for bomb attacks, has been arrested.

The chain of events that turned Germany into hell began last June with the theft of 350 kilograms of marijuana controlled by Sermet A., the Cologne leader of the Mocro mafia, who was held in a warehouse in Hürth-Kalscheuren.

According to allegations, after the disappearance of drugs worth 1.5 million euros, gang leader Sermet A. and his members turned North Rhine-Westphalia into a hell with bomb attacks they organized. Members of the organization carried out a total of 11 bomb attacks on different addresses they suspected in various parts of the city within 12 weeks. In the explosions, one person lost their life while five others were injured.

PROVED TO BE A GANG MEMBER

According to a report in Sabah Newspaper, one of the closest associates of gang leader Sermet A. was 25-year-old Alim Aykut Esgi, a German citizen who once played for Akhisarspor. Unable to find the stolen marijuana in the bomb attacks, Sermet A. and Alim Aykut Esgi kidnapped the brother and wife of a member of the El Zein gang, whom they held responsible for the theft of the drugs, last July in Bochum.

The gang members took the young couple to a villa in Cologne-Rodenkirchen, where they tortured the couple for days after stripping them naked. Alim Aykut Esgi recorded the torture scenes on video and sent them to Sermet A., fulfilling his orders.

During a raid at the house, the police rescued the young couple in a faint state, while six armed gang members were arrested and sent to prison. Sermet A., for whom an international arrest warrant had been issued, was caught last October at Paris Roissy Airport while preparing to flee to Dubai.

ARRESTED

Following the capture of Sermet A., the police conducted operations against gang members collaborating with the Mocro mafia. Last Friday, during a raid on a house in Cologne, Alim Aykut Esgi and Aymen S. (24), who is alleged to be the secret treasury of the organization, were detained.

Alim Aykut Esgi was arrested and sent to prison by the court on charges of 'Kidnapping and causing dangerous bodily harm,' while Aymen S. faced charges of 'Kidnapping and drug trafficking.'

In his career, Alim Aykut Esgi has played for teams such as Fatih Karagümrük, Darıca Gençlerbirliği, Celik Zenica, Bayrampaşa, and Akhisarspor. He last played on September 26, 2018, in the Karagümrük - 1922 Konya cup match, where he only played for 1 minute. Esgi was last seen playing for a team in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
