Police teams sprang into action after a video surfaced showing a young girl inside a moving vehicle in İzmir shouting "Help!" Upon investigation, it was determined that the incident was not a kidnapping, but rather a result of a dispute between the 15-year-old girl and her aunt in a pirate taxi, where the girl was seeking help. The driver was fined 46,392 TL for illegal transportation, while the aunt received a fine of 3,084 TL.
Last night, lively moments were experienced on Yeşildere Street in the Konak district of İzmir. Following the spread of images on social media showing a woman inside a moving car shouting "Help," the İzmir Provincial Police Department teams took action.
VEHICLE AND DRIVER IDENTIFIED
In the study conducted by the Gasp Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate, it was determined that the vehicle had the license plate 35 CRV 769 and the driver was identified as H.D. (35). After conducting technical and physical surveillance, the teams quickly located the vehicle and found that the person shouting "Help" was A.S.P. (15), who was traveling in the car with her aunt B.T. (22) in a pirate taxi.
THE AUNT-NEPHEW ARGUMENT IN THE PIRATE TAXI
It was understood that the incident occurred due to a dispute between the aunt and the nephew while they were traveling in the pirate taxi, and that there was no abduction or mistreatment involved.
PENALTY IMPOSED
The police teams imposed an administrative fine of 46,392 TL on the driver H.D. for illegal transportation, and the vehicle was banned from traffic for 60 days. Additionally, an administrative fine of 3,084 TL was also imposed on the aunt B.T., who was in the position of a pirate passenger.
