"The handshake controversy" is flaring up! Özgür Özel: Mr. Kemal could never become the leader of the first party.

The "handshake" controversy between CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and his predecessor Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has escalated. Responding to Kılıçdaroğlu's statement, "I will not shake hands with those sitting in the palace," Özgür Özel said, "Why should I take Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu's evaluations personally? The first party is responsible for Turkey's polarization and lack of handshakes. Kemal Bey was never the leader of the first party, he wanted it very much but it didn't happen. CHP is now the ruling party in the eyes of the people."

Responding to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's statement, "I will not shake hands with those sitting in the palace," CHP Chairman Özgür Özel used harsh words. Özel said, "Why should I take Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu's evaluations personally? The first party is responsible for the polarization and the lack of handshakes in Turkey. ÖZEL'S RESPONSE TO KILIÇDAROĞLU ON "HANDSHAKE"

Özgür Özel, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), visited Adalar Municipality. Özel made striking statements in response to journalists' questions. Özel said, "I will not shake hands with those sitting in the palace. I don't shake hands so that you can speak up. I don't shake hands because he called our people sluts and looters. I don't shake hands because he called my party and non-supporters terrorists." Özel loaded his words with venom against former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

WHAT DID KILIÇDAROĞLU SAY?

In response to CHP leader Özgür Özel's previous statement, "He does not exchange greetings with the country's President, he does not shake hands even at Anıtkabir, he does not even make eye contact in the mosque," Kılıçdaroğlu had this response: "I don't shake hands because he reached into the people's pockets. I don't shake hands for Ali İsmail Korkmaz and Berkin Elvan who lost their lives in Gezi, I don't even look at him.

Not because he insulted me. Not because he threatened me. Not because I was lynched and attacked. I will not shake his hand because he took the Suleyman Shah Tomb and abandoned the homeland. I will not shake his hand because he turned Turkey into a refugee depot. I will not look at him and shake his hand because he prepared fake videos during elections. We will not shake hands with the person in the palace, we will fight."
