According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in the Maltaş neighborhood of Saimbeyli. Allegedly, a fire broke out in the house where hearing and speech impaired Mustafa Menteş (84) and his brother Sıtkı Menteş (65) lived, due to the stove during the night.

When no one noticed the fire, the two-story house collapsed, and the two brothers were trapped under the fallen house. Meanwhile, the fire spread to the neighboring house. A woman in the adjacent house noticed the fire, reported the situation to 112, and rescued her hearing and speech impaired husband. Following this, fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. After the efforts, the fire in both houses was extinguished. The teams reached the lifeless bodies of the brothers during their work. Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the incident.
