In Iğdır, the Jaferis organized a memorial program for Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, who was reported to have lost his life in the US-Israel attack, carrying posters and chanting slogans.
A commemoration program was held in Iğdır for Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, who was reported to have lost his life in the airstrike carried out by the USA and Israel on the morning of February 28. It was reported that high-ranking politicians and military personnel also lost their lives in the attack.
SHIITES TOOK TO THE STREETS IN IĞDIR
Following the death of 86-year-old Khamenei, who has led Iran since 1989, a 40-day mourning period was declared in Iran. Shiites living in Turkey also took to the streets in Iğdır to commemorate Khamenei.
POSTERS WERE CARRIED, SLOGANS WERE CHANTED
The crowd gathered in the city square carried posters and photographs of Khamenei. The group, which held a commemoration accompanied by hymns read in the square, chanted anti-US slogans. The commemoration program was completed under security measures.
