In the collapsed building in Gebze, the images of the boiler repairman Levent Bilir while he was working remain. The footage shows moments when Bilir smiled while intervening with the boiler.
In the Arslan Apartment, which collapsed on Issıkgöl Street in the Mevlana neighborhood of Gebze district in Kocaeli, the lifeless bodies of the Bilir family, consisting of five members, were found under the rubble. The father, Levent (44), the mother, Emine (37), and their children, Muhammed Emir (12) and Hayrunnisa (14), were recovered, while their only daughter, Dilara (18), was rescued alive.

It was learned that Levent Bilir, who lost his life along with his family, worked as a boiler repairman in Gebze and its surroundings. Only images of him while working remain. In the video, Levent Bilir is seen intervening in a boiler and smiling at the same time. In response to the person recording saying, "He came in the morning and had breakfast, friends. The boiler broke down, and now you came to fix it," Bilir can be heard replying, "Let's say it's fate." The footage also includes moments when the person filming recommends Bilir by saying, "If there is a boiler malfunction in Gebze and the surrounding area, contact brother Levent. He is good at his job."
