Burak Tunçel, who got into his vehicle in Kağıthane, was attacked by three assailants armed with Kalashnikovs waiting in the car. Tunçel, who was seriously injured in the incident, was taken to the hospital but could not be saved. Police teams found 37 bullets at the scene. It was determined that the assailants had placed a GPS device under Tunçel's vehicle and waited for him to arrive for 9 hours. The assailants set fire to the vehicle they escaped in at Kemerburgaz.

Burak Tunçel (25), who got into his car in Kağıthane, was attacked by 2 of the 3 assailants waiting in the vehicle with a Kalashnikov. Tunçel, who was severely injured and taken to the hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions. Police teams found 37 bullets at the scene. Three suspects related to the attack were detained. It was determined that the assailants placed a GPS (signal tracking) device under Tunçel's vehicle, waited for 9 hours for him to arrive, and then carried out the attack. It was also found that they set fire to the vehicle they fled the scene in at Kemerburgaz. It was revealed that Tunçel, who was released from prison 10 days ago, had 12 criminal records with the police.

DIED IN HOSPITAL

The incident occurred on Thursday, January 15, around 11:30 AM in the Hamidiye neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Burak Tunçel got into his vehicle with the license plate 34 HUB 246. Then, at that moment, 2 of the 3 assailants waiting in vehicles nearby opened fire on Tunçel with a Kalashnikov. The assailants, who fired 37 bullets, fled the scene by getting into the vehicle they arrived in. After the incident, health and police teams were dispatched upon notification. The health teams, who arrived shortly, provided first aid to the severely injured Tunçel at the scene. Tunçel was then taken to the hospital by ambulance but unfortunately could not be saved and passed away.

FIRED 37 BULLETS

On the other hand, crime scene investigation teams started working on the case. During the investigations, 37 bullet casings were found in the area. The moment of the armed attack was captured on a mobile phone camera. The moments when the masked assailants fled the scene by getting into a parked black car were also recorded by the cameras.

'THEY SET A TRAP AND FIRED 25-30 SHOTS'

Neighborhood resident Mikail Çakar said, "I was in the shop when I heard the gunfire at 11:30. A 25-year-old kid, his name is Burak Tunçel. They are shooting and running away, the kids. They fired 30 bullets at the kid," he said. One neighborhood resident stated, "They fired in bursts. According to the rumors here, they were waiting." Another neighborhood resident said, "I guess he just got out of prison. Then 2 people were waiting, they set a trap or something. They probably fired 25-30 shots. I don't know if it was with a Kalashnikov or what."

PLACED A GPS DEVICE UNDER THE VEHICLE

Three suspects were detained as part of the investigation. On the other hand, details of the attack also emerged. It was determined that the assailants placed a GPS (signal tracking) device under Tunçel's vehicle and arrived at the vehicle around 3:00 AM. The assailants, who parked a black vehicle right next to Tunçel's vehicle, waited for about 9 hours and moved when Tunçel got into the car. It was established that the assailants, who fired with a Kalashnikov and a pistol, fled the scene by getting into the vehicle they arrived in. Additionally, it was learned that the vehicle the assailants fled in was set on fire at the Kemerburgaz-Göktürk junction.

12 CRIMINAL RECORDS FOUND

Burak Tunçel, who died from bullets that hit his ear, neck, chest, shoulder, and back, was reported to have been released from prison about 10 days ago. It was revealed that Tunçel had 12 records with the police for crimes such as 'Drug use', 'Open theft', and 'Damage to property'.
