With the warming of the weather and the end of winter conditions, a winter-specific obligation is also coming to an end. The winter tire application, implemented to prevent traffic accidents in adverse weather conditions such as snow and ice during the winter months, will end on April 1st.
According to the decision of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the obligation to use winter tires, which started on December 1, 2024, across Turkey, will end on Tuesday, April 1st.
2025 TIRE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PRICES
This year, the tire removal and installation process is applied as follows: 800 lira for 13 and 14-inch rims, 1000 lira for 15 and 16-inch ones, 1250 lira for 17 inches, 1500 lira for 18 inches, 1700 lira for 19 inches, and 2000 lira for 20 and 21-inch rims. The tire hotel service is offered at the level of the replacement fee for 4 tires. Using season-appropriate tires is important.
* Winter tires are specially produced to perform optimally at temperatures below 7 degrees, and they lose this feature when used in the summer.
* In hot weather, tires wear out more quickly, leading to issues such as premature wear and performance loss.
* Winter tires, designed for cold weather use, cause a significant decrease in grip when used in summer, negatively affecting vehicle control and increasing fuel consumption.
* Using tires that are not suitable for the season leads to higher carbon emissions into the environment.
