Hasbi Dede, the Mayor of Görele, who was arrested for the crime of sexual harassment against a child, has been suspended from duty by the Ministry of Interior.
The Mayor of Görele District in Giresun, Hasbi Dede, was arrested and sent to prison on charges of "sexual harassment against a child" as part of an investigation regarding a message allegedly shared on social media.
Dede, whose messages were also revealed, was suspended from his position by the Ministry of Interior.
HE WAS RELEASED IN THE FIRST STAGE
Dede, who was called to give a statement as part of the investigation initiated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, was initially released by the court to be tried without detention. After the prosecutor appealed the decision, the case was re-evaluated. Dede was brought back to court and was arrested on charges of "harassing someone for sexual purposes" as regulated in Article 105 of the Turkish Penal Code.
HE WAS TAKEN OUT FROM THE BACK DOOR OF THE COURTHOUSE
While extensive security measures were taken in front of the courthouse, it was learned that Dede was taken out from the back door of the courthouse. Dede, who was taken to Espiye State Hospital for a health check, was handed over to Espiye Type L Closed Penitentiary Institution after his procedures.
