The decision that millions of employees have been watching closely has been announced. The minimum wage, which will be effective in 2026, has been set at a net amount of 28,075 TL with a 27% increase. Along with the new amount, the minimum wage support provided by the government to employers for each minimum wage employee has also been determined.
A new minimum wage has been determined, directly affecting 7 million employees and indirectly affecting the entire society.
27% INCREASE IN MINIMUM WAGE
The third meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission to set the new minimum wage has concluded. After the meeting, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that the minimum wage, which will be valid in 2026, has been increased by 27% to a gross amount of 33,030 TL and a net amount of 28,075 TL.
MINIMUM WAGE SUPPORT HAS ALSO INCREASED
On the other hand, with this increase, the minimum wage support provided by the state to employers for each minimum wage employee has also been determined. Minister Işıkhan stated that the support, which was 1,000 TL in 2025, will rise to 1,270 TL in 2026.
Last year, a 30% increase was made to the minimum wage, which was set at 22,104 TL. With this amount, the minimum wage support provided by the state to employers for each minimum wage employee was also increased from 700 TL to 1,000 TL.
