Ahmed Kutucu was born on March 1, 2000, in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. He started his football career in 2003 at the youth academy of Sportfreunde Haverkamp. He then moved to Rot-Weiss Essen in 2006 and to Schalke 04's youth academy in 2011. In 2018, he was promoted to Schalke 04's first team, stepping into his professional career.
