As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into 23 artists and social media influencers identified as promoting and advertising illegal gambling, 16 people were detained. Among those detained was İbrahim Yılmaz, who has 19 million followers on social media, and he was arrested after giving his statement at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. HE EXPLAINED HOW HE COMMITTED FRAUDMoments when the detained Yılmaz explained how he established a fictitious holding company and made money during a program became a hot topic. İbrahim Yılmaz described those moments as follows: "I had a security systems company. I just took a card in my hand. I wrote my home phone number on the card. My mother couldn't read or write, and although she couldn't take notes, I made it seem like I had a company and defrauded everyone. I can talk about it because the statute of limitations has expired. After that, there is a security monitoring center. When a thief breaks in, it calls the police. I set up those systems and established a second company. In the meantime, I intentionally made the company a limited company to appear bigger. Later, my biggest dream was to own a joint-stock company. Even though I didn't grow much, I knowingly established a joint-stock company. By establishing a joint-stock company, I started to get more jobs. As I said, my biggest dream was to have a holding company. When I researched how to become a holding company, I established five companies and created a holding. When I created the holding, I also stated in all my security system orders that 'Armed Security is a subsidiary of Armed Holding,' and I received all the companies in every offer I made. I started to get jobs worth 2 million dollars." REACTIONS POURING IN ON SOCIAL MEDIAReactions are growing exponentially following Yılmaz's involvement in the gambling scandal and his old footage. Comments such as "They are defending this guy," "He is clearly a fraudster," and "Labor thief" are being made about Yılmaz.
