It has emerged that Sergen Altunbaş, the father who committed suicide after killing his children in Adana, sent a message to his wife minutes before the murders saying, "I have only one way left. Do you know why I am not leaving the children to you?" Furthermore, it was learned that the couple divorced 5 years ago but continued to live together in the same house.
A family tragedy occurred last night in a luxury villa located in the Boynuyoğun neighborhood of the central Sarıçam district of Adana.
HE KILLED HIS CHILDREN FIRST, THEN HIMSELF
G.A., who provided visa consultancy for the United States (USA) and was known for the videos she shared on social media, left the house after an argument with her husband Sergen Altunbaş (34). Shortly after G.A. left the house, Sergen Altunbaş shot his children Ada (8) and Mert (6) with a gun. Altunbaş then shot himself in the head.
Upon hearing the gunshots, neighbors reported the incident, and police and medical teams were dispatched to the address. The teams that entered the house found the father and his two children in a pool of blood. The medical team's examination revealed that Altunbaş and his children had lost their lives. The lifeless bodies of Altunbaş and his children were taken to the morgue of the Adana Forensic Medicine Institution after the investigation at the scene. Relatives who arrived at the address after the incident set fire to Sergen Altunbaş's luxury car.
SENT A MESSAGE TO HIS WIFE MINUTES BEFORE THE MURDERS
It was revealed that just minutes before Altunbaş killed his children, he sent a message to his wife G.A. In the message, Altunbaş wrote, "I have only one way left. Do you know why I am not leaving the children to you?"
It was reported that the bodies of the deceased, whose autopsies have been completed, are waiting to be collected by their families for burial.

It was learned that Sergen Altunbaş and G.A. divorced in 2021, but continued their relationship by living in the same house.

Meanwhile, it was seen that Sergen Altunbaş had shared a post on his social media account months ago, stating, "A woman can make you a minister or a disgrace," praising his wife.
After the family tragedy, the happy family images shared by the couple on social media drew attention. It was noted that the family, who had settled in the USA some time ago and improved their financial situation, shared numerous videos of their travels and beautiful moments they experienced.
